II Indicators will be posted/discussed here.

II_CC_Lite

PostAuthor: bredin » Thu Aug 05, 2010 2:56 pm

Please not that this is an entirely new version with different behavior to the last one (v1.2.1)
There is nothing wrong with the old one: if you like it keep using it, this one is just more in keeping with the way I trade NOW. If you dont like it you can always complain to the manager ;)

Image

note that this indi follows MOs advice for setting CC starting pos, and if you dont like it just move it yourself
It should also run faster than the old one ;)

inputs:
object.layer : ho hum
width.auto.CC : set the number of chart candles in a CC
reload.on.tf.change : setting this to false SHOULD keep your CCs from moving if you change tfs, but with the new behaviour probably doesnt matter much
reload.on.new.extreme : reset the CC starting position if a new extreme is set (either by puching the extreme or setting a new one)
find.extreme : 0 = daily, 1 = weekly, 2 = monthly, 3+ = yearly
show.max.CC : limit the number of CCs to draw (0 to disable)
move.startline : move lines to visible part of the screen (legacy, probably not needed)
show.HUD : HUD shows either CC tf or pair + CC tf
HUD.tf.only : turns the pair off (Theres II_ShowPairCool to chow the pair ;))
CC.Solid : blocks or boxes
CC.Candle.Width : linewidth of CC boxes
CC.Candle.Style : stye of CC boxes
CC.Line.Width : startline width
CC.Line.Style : startline style
HUD.shadow : drop shadow
HUD.font : ummm... HUD font
HUD.size : font size
HUD.corner, HUD.pos.x, HUD.pos.y : locate HUD
5 color inputs

Breden.

Downloaded this indi to destop and uploaded into MT4 Alpari. Indi will not display on chart. I can see the indi in the navagator pane, but it won't drag and drop. When I go to insert, indicators, custom, it's not there; could be operator error. I was able to retrieve the indi and get it to display on charts when it was at Kreslik. Is anyone having similar issues? What do you think? Thanks,

T

Its exactly the same indi that was posted on kreslik :)

Close MT4 and reopen to force MT4 to recompile the indis (or do it in MetaEditor). if it still wont work let me know.

Bredin the indi is not working when you trow it to the chart...after that i went to "meta editor" and the i press F5 and see this:

Seems like the II_CC_Lite needs other things to work.

Bredin, do you have a handle on how MO wants the CC to work? He said that it starts with a rat. I guess he means off of the high or the low on the visible chart, right? Does that mean the subsequent CC's should remain that way until a new high or low on the chart appears? Thanks for the help.

I believe so, that why I posted the chart I did on kreslik, showing the CC closing on the candle that sets the extreme, but the post was not answered. I have written code to set CC's when the D+ extreme is set, but have not released it yet as I was waiting for MOs confirmation. I was also not clear on 'starts with a rat', and wether that means the first candle in the CC is the setup candle, the entry candle, or the extreme candle....

I have rewritten the setup code for II_CC_Lite so that it sets (and resets) CCs based on a D+ extreme (with choice of D+ extreme).

I will post it later today, after I check to see that it behaves properly :)
