Re: Supply Demand, MOMO and Pointy Places

Thanks withnail. That helps to clarify a question I made on another thread. I ended up being over leveraged on a trade because I added back after a partial exit plus stepped up, but one more level than I'd wanted. Not to worry, I think I've got it now. eg. Entry 1 - 5 lots Exit 1 - Closed 2 lots Rem...

Re: Supply Demand, MOMO and Pointy Places

Here's another one Captain P. Not as close as yours (gut wrenching), but annoying just the same. It does show you're hunting in the company of pros though. Mine just says I was being greedy. For mine, I'd gone for a more recent level, a round number, a 50% retrace, and a little below the mid point o...

Re: Supply Demand, MOMO and Pointy Places

I took 2/3 of my remaining lots off after the close of that long tail pin coming out of a demand level. I don't need anymore than that to tell me it's time to do something. Lots remaining are to help maintain some focus on this pair for another opportunity to go short. Higher time frames tell me the...

Re: Supply Demand, MOMO and Pointy Places

Cheers Captain. I've been busy fiddling with P&F, among other things on the schooling side of things. On the chart below I've put in my TP3 level in green. To the left are a number of heavier green lines. The first is a demand level, then some pointy places, with the grey shaded box marking a ra...

Re: Supply Demand, MOMO and Pointy Places

Yep it's one thing to know how to use a tool, but another to know how and why it works. I'm not sure I even used it correctly, but I did spend some time making sure things were where they should be, considering what the tool sets out to achieve. It's one of the reasons I've taken such a conservative...

Re: Supply Demand, MOMO and Pointy Places

Well there's a first for me. I think that's the first time I've taken a third entry on a trade. The second entry was closed for profit and re-entered at a better price. I haven't taken advantage of multiple entries as I could have, but one step at a time. Space is not my usual playground. Using the ...

Re: Supply Demand, MOMO and Pointy Places

My AUDCAD trade is progressing, slowly but surely. Missed the opportunity to get a third trade on the daily wick. Or on the hour chart, a hook that was begging to be traded.

Captain your pointy places work a treat.

Re: Supply Demand, MOMO and Pointy Places

I've been in this AUDCAD for about a week. I didn't start out using your pointy places so the first entry isn't what it could be. I think I could have got another 20 pips or so with the pointy places. But I'm out on a monthly wick on a free trade. Can't complain. The MM is very handy. I've been tryi...

Re: Supply Demand, MOMO and Pointy Places

A big thanks Captain for starting this thread. I've been looking forward to it for some time (it's rude to ask). You've driven my understanding of trading extremes with S&D to a new level. I know it already. You've really helped fill in some blanks. Thanks also Withnail. I chose to mark up this ...
